Cancellation Policy

This is placeholder template text, not legal advice — have a lawyer review and adapt it (especially the licensing, insurance, and liability sections) before this goes live, particularly given Allied Rooms deals with medical practice space.
1. Before a host confirms
A booking request can be cancelled by either the Renter or the Host at any time before the Host confirms it, at no cost.
2. After confirmation
Once a Host confirms a booking, either party can still cancel from the booking page. Both sides get an email notification. Refund handling for confirmed, paid bookings will apply once booking payments (beyond the current $10/month listing fee) launch — this section will be updated with the specific refund window at that point.
3. No-shows and disputes
If a booking doesn't go as expected — a no-show, a space not matching its listing, or anything else — use the “Report an issue” link on the booking page. That flags it for Allied Rooms admin review.
4. Host-side cancellations
Hosts who cancel confirmed bookings frequently may have listings suspended pending review — reliability matters more here than in a typical short-term rental, since Renters are often scheduling patient appointments around a booking.
